Violence and conflict can manifest in many ways. Political violence is often related to the large-scale social structure and is embedded in society in the form of age-old discrimination and deprivation when privilege and opportunities are distributed unequally. Political violence is often related to movements of social protest against well established powers, such is the case in the essay, "Death in the Square".
