CHOICE # 1 - Persuasive Speech
After carefully reading, "Billy and Us", develop a message about the prevention of gun violence that will capture the attention of teenagers. Present your ideas in the form of a persuasive speech and develop your ideas into at least five paragraphs. In preparation, you may need to research this topic so that you can offer supportive details and examples within your speech. For more assistance, refer to the links above.

Be sure to concentrate on the correct format of a speech:
   - introduction - be dramatic
   - body - be organized and clearly present your key points
   - conclusion - be concise while providing a summary of your key points

CHOICE # 2 - Persuasive Speech
Transform the essay, "Death in the Square" into a persuasive speech, by formally developing your ideas into at least five paragraphs. In preparation, you may need to do more research on the topic so that you can offer details and examples within your speech. Be sure to concentrate on the correct format of an essay:
   - introduction - generalization, narrowed focus, thesis statement
