Daily living is a bit of a puzzle. Every day you must make decisions. In your future, you will have to balance the demands of work with the demands of life. You will need to make your paycheque stretch to cover the necessities of life, spending money, and savings for the future.

Do you have the skills as a consumer to make the best choice for your dollar? Do you know how prices are set in stores? Can you postpone purchases and wait for sales? Do you make purchases online? How can you tell if an online purchase from a foreign website makes sense when you factor in shipping costs and exchange rates?

Do you know what career or occupation you will pursue? Do you know what the educational requirements are for that job? Are you familiar with the day-to-day routines of that job? What earnings can you expect when you start your career? What opportunities are there for advancement? Will you receive wages or a salary?

If your goal is a job in a service industry or in sales, are tips or commissions a possibility? Perhaps you have considered starting your own business. Maybe you have a competitive nature and would like to be rewarded based on your productivity.

Do you know what the bottom line will be? You know, for example, that income tax will be deducted. Are you aware of all the other deductions that will be subtracted from your pay?

There are so many things to think about. Yes, life is a bit of a puzzle!
