Trace how modernity has affected your family.
After conducting your research, you are going to present your findings.
- In your presentation you MUST:
- Answer the following questions: Present an in-depth discussion for EACH of the three generations. You may find it interesting to "interview" your parents and your grandparents. Have a list of specific questions prepared. Be sure those questions are open-ended, and not answerable with a simple "yes" or "no".
- What kinds of positive effects has modernity had on each generation?
- How does your lifestyle differ from that of your parents and from that of your grandparents? In other words, how has modernity affected EACH generation of your family? Discuss each of the following aspects of daily life for EACH generation, providing specific examples:
- education - where, how, post-secondary
- employment - after school jobs, careers, your potential future employment
- technology
- healthcare
- leisure
- entertainment
- media
- societal attitudes
- How does your lifestyle differ from that of your parents and from that of your grandparents? In other words, how has modernity affected EACH generation of your family? Discuss each of the following aspects of daily life for EACH generation, providing specific examples:
- What kinds of adverse effects has modernity had on each generation?
- At what kind of overall conclusion can you arrive regarding the effects of modernity on the three generations? Has one of those generations been more affected in either a positive or negative manner? How has modernity affected the quality of life enjoyed by each generation?
- You MUST write at least 1000 words
- You MUST include a biliography of all of your sources: mybib.com

- Do NOT plagiarize. Such an action will result in a zero on this project!
NO matter the format of your presentation, the content should be at least 1000 words, which is roughly two single-spaced pages of 12-point font.
Your presentation will be assessed using the General Sociology 20 Project Rubric.
