Plants have several roles within the environment. Roles such as shelter and food provider are very important to the human population. One only has to look at third world countries to see the affects of plants on peoples way of life. Without plants numerous cycles in nature would never exist. The nitrogen and carbon cycles would not work without the input of plants. Major components, in the cycles, use plants as a stage in the change from one molecule to another. |
