Did You Know?

In everyday life, people often use the term weight when referring to mass. The correct unit for weight in the International System of Units (SI) is the Newton. The weight of 1 kilogram is 9.8 Newtons (N). People tend to follow the convention of using the term weight when technically mass should be used because this is what is used in the workplace.
