If you live at home with your parents or guardians, as well as your brothers and sisters, do you dream of the day when you will be completely independent and able to move out on your own? The expression on your own, according to the Module 1 theme, means dealing with the often harsh financial realities of independence.
Your lifestyle will be limited by your income and your expenses.
This module will help guide you to financial health.
In Section 1 you will explore creating a budget to avoid going into debt. This budget will allow you to save for the future and be prepared for the unexpected. A budget will help you balance financial demands, such as rent and transportation, and having a little fun with your hard-earned cash!
Section 2 is composed of a project where you will explore a variety of banking options and make decisions about which options are most appropriate to your needs.
Good luck setting out on your own!
In this module you will investigate the following question:
How does an understanding of personal budgeting and financial services help ensure lifelong financial health?
