3. Lesson

COLLECTIVISM- is an ideology that places the needs and goals of the collective, or group, before those of any individual member of the group, and is based on the belief in the interdependence of human society.

INDIVIDUALISM - is an ideology that values the rights and freedoms of the individual, often above the security and harmony of the whole group.

4. Conclusion

In this lesson you began developing your understanding of individualism, which can be compared to living in a JUNGLE, where life is driven by competition- for food, shelter and ultimately survival.  Upon completing this lesson, I will leave you with this important question:
