More on Interfacings
Iron-on interfacings are often used in home decorating projects. Placemats and curtain valances, hems, and headings are often interfaced for extra body.
Another popular helper is fusible web, which is used to join two fabrics. This web can be purchased with or without the paper backing which is peeled off once the web is attached. Appliqués are often done this way.
Other iron-on helpers are iron-on pleater tape, fusible fleece, and fusible shade backings. All these fusible have an applied resin which melts when heated; causing two surfaces to adhere to each other.
