Adjusting the "Three-Dimensional View"
Hold down the "h" key and drag horizontally to change the yaw angle.
Hold down the "v" key and drag vertically to change the pitch angle.
Drag to change both the yaw and pitch angles.
The left and right arrow keys will change the yaw angle.
The up and down arrow keys will change the pitch angle.
If the keys don't respond, click the cursor in the applet then try again.
"VIEW FIGURE" Buttons
The user can select the "WITHOUT WIREFRAME" or "WITH WIREFRAME" when viewing the object.
Select each to see the two different views.
Note that it is designed so that the user can only re-orient the object in these two "modes". Blocks cannot be "added" or "subtracted" unless the user selects one of the three "modes" under the "ADJUST THE FIGURE BY LAYERS" heading.
"ADJUST THE FIGURE BY LAYERS" Buttons
Position the cursor over each of the "ADJUST FIGURE BY LAYERS" buttons and an axis line will appear in the illustration to indicate how the figure will be seperated into layers.
To adjust the figure, select either "FRONT - BACK", "TOP - BOTTOM" or "LEFT - RIGHT".
In these "modes" you can still re-orient the three-dimensional figure as described in the top section of this page. When dragging to change the orientation of the object, do NOT begin by clicking a block. Begin by dragging in an empty (white) area.
"Clicking" a white cube in a layer will create a cube at that location (a coloured cube).
"Clicking" a coloured cube in a layer will delete the cube at that location (the location will still be indicated by a "white" cube).
The "Bottom" Area
Select "SHOW ALL CUBES" to create a figure where cubes can be "eliminated" to create a specific object.
Select "HIDE ALL CUBES" to create a figure where cubes can be "created" to create a specific object.
Select "RESET" to return the applet to the state it was in when first opened.
