Focus
Understanding yourself as a communicator helps you become a more effective child care provider.
Directions
Step 1: Go to an acceptable child care facility and practise using active listening responses with children. If you are not able to complete this activity at a child care facility, discuss an alternative activity with your teacher.
Step 2: Complete Part 1 and Part 2 of Learning Activity 3: Child Care Provider Communications.
Step 3: Review the Student Rubric for Learning Activity 3: Child Care Providers Communications. Assess the quality of your responses and make any necessary adjustments.
