Looking Backward

You are almost finished CCS3110: Early Learning and Child Care 1. There are only a couple of learning activities left to complete in this course summary and then, perhaps, you’ll be on your way to beginning a rewarding career working with children and their families. Congratulations!

As you worked through CCS3110, you had opportunities to explore what quality care is. You learned that quality care pays attention to promoting children’s social, emotional, physical, creative, and intellectual development. You will have opportunities to learn more about young children’s physical, intellectual, and language development in CCS3120: Early Learning and Child Care 2, and about their social, emotional, and creative development in CCS3130: Early Learning and Child Care 3.

In the remaining Early Learning and Child Care courses, you will continue to learn how child care providers can provide quality care. You will also build on the knowledge and skills you developed in relation to communicating effectively; practising active listening with children; using a variety of observation methods as a way to learn about children; and guiding children’s behaviour using strategies that support their intellectual, physical, emotional, social, creative, and language development.

To finish CCS3110, complete the following two learning activities:

  • Learning Activity 1: Reflecting on My Basic Competencies
  • Learning Activity 2: Summarizing My Learning
Learning Activity 1: Reflecting on My Basic Competencies
