1. Introduction

In these unusual and unprecedented times, you are NOT going to write a final exam.  Instead your last assignment in the course will consist of a written response in the format of assignment type II.  As the emphasize in the course has been on nationalism in a Canadian context, the question will focus on our country.

Reminder: The recommended word count range for assignment type II in social studies -1 is between 750 and 1600 words.  Students that are closer to the lower range tend to score satisfactory, where as students closer to the upper range tend to score proficient or excellent.  Those students who exceed the upper limit can "talk themselves" out of an excellent mark.
