TIPS FOR WRITING

  • In the source interpretation you are required to link each source to IDENTITY and NATIONALISM- please make sure you discuss these terms in each paragraph.  I would encourage you to go back and reread your response before submitting it, check to make sure BOTH of these terms are in each paragraph.
  • As you compose this response, please remember that writing a source analysis in social studies is academic.  Academic writing should be objective. The language of academic writing should therefore be impersonal, and should not include personal pronouns, emotional language or informal speech. Use of personal pronouns (I / my / our / us / etc) can make the tone of writing too subjective, and should be avoided.
