If practice makes perfect, then what contributes to an artist’s success?
Choose a musical artist (or group) that you like, or a latino artist
you’ve heard of, and would like to learn more about, and describe
what they used to do in order to become successful. The artist that you
choose may be the same person that you used in Unit 5 if you wish,
however, we are adding descriptive details about their life.
Remember, you can add information about events that happened here using the preterite tense - use specific dates to help you with the preterite (ej.. en el año 2001, hace tres años...) whereas the imperfect will describe what happened over the course of time (ej. todos los días, cada semana, durante su juventud…).
The focus here is to demonstrate your ability to describe in the past, using imperfecto, and since this is the last assignment of Spanish 20, to show off your learning.
Use the embedded reading that described the development of salsa music and some of the most important artists as an example to help you.
Requirements for this Writing Activity:
