Revising and Editing
The writing process is a key component for success in English Language Arts, grades 10-12, so it's important that we help you to create good habits for writing now. Revising and editing happens at many stages within the writing process, and that revision needs to happen in order to excel. In this step of the writing process, Rough Draft, you will apply the feedback given on your planning and compose a rough draft of your critical response.
The Assignment
Step 1: Download and review the feedback I provided on your 5.2 Planning. Add necessary details and information based on this feedback. If you have any questions about my feedback or how to incorporate it, please ask me before continuing.
Step 2: Using your plan, write the rough draft of your critical essay. Do not just copy and paste the information into paragraphs: elaborate on your ideas through commentary.
Remember! A critical response uses third person point of view. Paragraphs should be indented and there should be no line breaks between paragraphs. View the exemplar in the Extra Help tab.
Step 3: Submit your rough draft for feedback. You may proceed with the assignment only once you have received this feedback.
