Working by yourself in a distance learning environment can seem like a lonely experience, yet it is also one you share with other students who also complete course work in this same way. You have met your virtual classmates on the previous course pages,
and now it is time to meet some of your real classmates!
For your first assignment in this course, you will introduce yourself to your classmates and to your lead teacher.

Step 3: Review my exemplar post and the posts of other students on the following course page titled "1.0 Introducing Me Discussion Forum." Select the Reply option below the last student post, and create your own introduction of yourself. You may wish to create your post outside the forum, and save a copy, and then
paste it in. Once your post is complete, be sure to select the Post to Forum option. Please create a reply to at least one if not all of your classmates' posts. You can check into
this forum anytime by going to the Communication Tab on the navigation bar above , and then selecting Forum. This assignment will be will be valued at 5
marks. While I am sure you are well aware of proper forum etiquette, this is just a reminder that the course discussion
forums are public communication spaces where your communication must be formal writing that would be acceptable in any place of business. As such your communication will be positive, polite, absent from profanities, and must be respectful of all users.
Step 4: Complete your forum post, and then please phone me so that we can introduce ourselves to one another, and we can chat about the course a bit. If you get my voicemail, please call back until you reach
me. If you get voice mail when you call, feel free to leave a message, but please do not leave a number and request a call back from me, as part of this assignment objective is that you will make the phone call to me and initiate the conversation. Leaving your introduction of yourself as a voicemail will not be accepted as the assignment. You can avoid the ADLC voice message information at the beginning of the call by immediately pressing 1 when you hear the voice. This allows you to immediately enter my extension.
