Marking Guide:
In this assignment, read or listen to the information presented regarding Sidney Crosby and then practise writing notes.
Sidney Crosby is one of the National Hockey Leagueβs best players. He began playing in the NHL in 2005. By the end of his first season, Crosby had shown he was one of the league's best young players, finishing with 102 points. In his second year, he finished with 120 points, scoring 28 goals and registering 84 assists. This was very remarkable considering he played the last six weeks of the season with a broken bone in his foot. By 2009, Crosby got to hold up the ultimate prize in hockey. He led the Pittsburgh Penguins to its first Stanley Cup title since 1992.
Crosby has also played successfully for his country in the Winter Olympics. He played for Team Canada in the 2010 games in Vancouver, where he scored the game-winning goal against team USA in overtime. In 2014, he captained Team Canada to the Sochi games, leading the team to another gold medal victory, this time over Sweden. And in 2015, he led Team Canada to a gold medal at the World Championship series in Prague. Sidney Crosby certainly can be called a Hockey Superstar.
