In this assignment, answer the following questions regarding advertisements.
1. List five different places where you can find advertising. /5
2. How much influence do you think advertising has on you? Give two reasons to explain your answer. /3
3. Describe one ad that you can think of that you feel was a really good ad. Explain why you liked it. /3
4. Choose one of the following assignments to complete. /3
- Read a newspaper or magazine and count how many ads are in the newspaper or magazine. Include the name of the paper or magazine, the number of ads, and the number of pages in the magazine or newspaper.
- Watch a television show and keep track of how many ads run during the time slot (1/2 hour or 1 hour). Include the name of the show, the number of ads, and how long the show was.
- Watch a movie and keep track of the number of products placed in the movie that are noticeable to the viewer. Include the name of the movie, the number of products, and several examples of products that you noticed.
- Listen to the radio for ½ hour or 1 hour and keep track of how many ads run during this time. Include the name of the radio station, the time you were listening, and the number of ads that were played.
