Completion requirements
In this assignment, answer the following questions about characterization and point of view.
You may use a computer or paper to complete this assignment.
1. You can type your work directly into the assignment box on the next page by clicking the "add submission" button under the orange box at the bottom of this page.
2. If you typed your work in a separate Word document, save your document, and either send it to your teacher as an e-mail attachment or print it off and hand it in to your teacher so it can be marked.

In this assignment, answer the following questions about characterization and point of view.
1. Was the main character in the novel revealed through direct or indirect presentation? Give a quote to support your answer. /2
2. What point of view was the story told from in The Lie that Had to Be? Give an example from the novel to show this point of view. /2
3. Choose one of the characters from the novel. Write the character's name on the page. Think of three words or phrases to describe the character. For each of the words or phrases, give an example from the story to show why you chose that word or phrase to describe the character. Finally, draw or include a clip art image that represents your character — either how he or she looks or an object that we might associate with the character in some way. /10
