In this assignment, try to develop a web, or any type of graphic organizer, of your own.
Do the following:
- On your graphic organizer, identify the main theme of The Lie that Had to Be. Remember, theme is an observation about people or life that the author is trying to convey in the novel.
- Next, think of all of the details and events in the story that go under that theme.
- Finally, group those details into categories on your graphic organizer.
Here are some graphic organizers. Feel free to use one of these or develop one of your own! (Hint: be sure to label the categories on your web.)
