In thinking about the skills and attributes you need to be successful, you need to consider what personal success means to you. What do you value? How will your values influence the paths you choose?

The AssignmentCreate a written response to your future son/daughter in which you share your own beliefs about personal success. You may find it helpful to identify a particular person in your life who helped you define personal success. What attributes and skills do you think he/she will need to possess to be successful in the future? You may choose any prose form you wish, such as a letter, e-mail, blog posting, or time capsule. Regardless of your choice, you must observe the conventions of the format you choose. Keep in mind that you are writing as a parent to a child so the tone should be informal rather than formal.
