2.2 Final Assignment for The Arrival
Depending on your interests and the resources available to you, select one of the following tasks to complete your final assignment.
The Assignment
Option 1Pretend that Shaun Tan is hiring someone to create a soundtrack to accompany The Arrival. As a music producer, you need to present a proposal that lists the songs and artists you think should be included in the soundtrack.
Option 2Pretend that Shaun Tan is hiring someone to create a poetry anthology to accompany The Arrival. As an editor, you need to present a proposal that lists the poems and poets you think should be included in the anthology.

If you are citing song lyrics from a website, format your citation as follows:
Name of artist (last name, first name). “Title of song”. Title of the website. Name of person/group responsible, date lyrics were added to the site (if not available, use abbreviation “n.d.”. When you are creating your bibliography, be sure to list your sources alphabetically, based on the author’s last name (not the order they appear in your proposal). You can include an oral and/or video presentation of your proposal where your purpose is to convince Shaun Tan to accept your proposal. You can share your presentation on the phone, via email, on CD or as an online submission.
