Now you will plan and draft your personal response essay to the excerpt from βThe Shape of a Girlβ and the visual from The Arrival. Once you have submitted it and reviewed your markerβs comments, you will write and submit a rough draft
Please note that the outline and the rough draft are not optional. Final drafts submitted without outlines and rough drafts will not be marked.
The Assignment
Use one of the worksheets in the Worksheets tab to prepare your outline for a personal response essay.
In the Integrated Evidence format, your body paragraphs will include support from both the text(s) and your personal experiences. In the Segregated Evidence format, you will have separate body paragraphs on the text(s) and your personal experiences. If you prefer to create a graphic organizer or chart your thinking in another way, you may do so as long as it is detailed enough that your marker can provide you with the necessary feedback. If you would like further information on planning a Personal Response assignment, take a moment to go back and review the Personal Response Tutorial. Once you have completed your assignment, save it as 3.5 Your Name Personal Response Outline and submit it for assessment. Do not write your rough draft until the outline is approved .
