Lesson 1: Reflection
Throughout this course, you will be asked to do some thinking about yourself and what you are learning. These will be called Reflections. There are no marks for the Reflections, instead you will receive a Complete/Incomplete from your teacher.
In this first lesson about identity, you have written about yourself and your ideas. Later, you will also express yourself in several other reflection activities.
These reflections allow you to write about various topics in various formats without considering what kind of mark you will get.
- You can use your reflections to express ideas and emotions that you might want to come back to later to explore.
- You can use your reflections to write memories about interesting experiences.
- Writing a reflection is also a good place to jot down ideas that you can come back to for inspiration on future assignments.
- You can also use your reflections as a place to experiment with styles of writing or formats that interest you.
You will be asked to write a reflection at the end of each lesson.
Write your first reflection now.
1. Choose ONE of the following from the list below to reflect on.- Write about a past experience that you feel influenced you to be the person you are today.
- Write about two important relationships in your life (e.g., friend, brother, mother, father, etc.).
- Why do you think it is important that people have their own self-identity?
Try your best to use proper sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation, however, most of your focus when writing your reflection should be on your ideas.
If you do not write your response in the space below, be sure to hand in what you do to your teacher to be graded. Write a note in the box to let your teacher know you have done this. Save and submit your note as if it were a quiz.
When you are ready, click the "Add submission" button below to begin your writing. Be sure to save your work as you go!
