For you final assignment to show what you've learned in this theme, you will create a portfolio that tells people about who you are. The activities below will help to explain your identity.
For your portfolio, choose TWO options from the list below to complete:
For this theme review, you choose how you want to show your learning. For example, if you chose the activity on your family tree, you can include pictures, clip art, text, etc. OR you might choose to do a video where you interview some people in your family. Be as creative as you want

Who Am I?
For you final assignment to show what you've learned in this theme, you will create a portfolio that tells people about who you are. The activities below will help to explain your identity.
For your portfolio, choose TWO options from the list below to complete:
- Here I am

Include a picture of yourself, and list some important information about you (such as: date of birth, age, general physical description (eye/hair colour, etc.), city in which you live, hobbies, etc. (and any other important information that you wish to include).
- My Family Tree

Create a family tree, and include pictures and describe members of your family (pets too) and/or other people who are important to you.
- My Heritage
β
Talk with family members or do library research and tell something of your familyβs history

it can be where theyβre from (provinces/countries), or an explanation of your ethnic background.
- My Name
β
Research your name. What does it mean? Does the definition reflect any part of your personality? Discuss how your parents picked your name for you.
- Who I Am
β
Describe how you see yourself. What kind of person are you? What do you know about yourself

what are your values? What are your strengths and why? What are your weaknesses and why?
- My Favourite Things β
List some of your passions. What are the activities, subjects, and areas you enjoy or in which you succeed? List your favourite types of music (or groups), television shows, movies, classes/school subjects, books/characters, interesting sports to watch/play, favourite foods, animals, celebrities, fashion items, etc.
- Changing
β Imagine that it is 10 years from today. Write a letter to a friend describing your life up to this point.

Marking Guide:
This assignment is worth 10 marks as follows:
Thought and Understanding (7 possible marks) β 7 marks based on the quality and quantity of the detail you add about yourself and how you show your personal identity.
Clarity of Communication (3 possible marks) β 3 marks based on your organization and how clear your ideas come across.

Information for Assignment:
Please do one of the following:
- You can type your work directly into the assignment box on the next page by clicking the "Add submission" button under the orange box at the bottom of this page.

If you typed your work in a separate
Word document, save your document, and either send it to your teacher as
an e-mail attachment or print it off and hand it in to your teacher so
it can be graded. You can also
attach your document within Moodle. To do this, click on the "Add
submission" button below, and then click on "File submissions."

If you chose to complete your assignment using photos, videos, drawings, etc., please hand in your work to your teacher so it can be graded.
