Lesson 18 — Activity 3: Assignment
For this assignment, you will start to put your portfolio together. You may already have a portfolio started. If so, go through the steps below to be sure you have included all of the importation information and that everything is up to date (e.g., your résumé, cover letter, letters of reference, etc.)
If you have not yet started your career portfolio, go through each of the four steps below and begin to put your portfolio together. You don't need to have your portfolio completely finished at this point, rather, this is an opportunity for you to get it started. You will add to it throughout the year as you collect items that you are proud of and want to showcase in your portfolio.
Remember, your portfolio does not include absolutely everything about you or every project you ever completed. It showcases your strengths, your growth, and your best work. Choose information that will create a great first impression with possible employers.
Go through the following steps to begin putting your portfolio together.
-
Gather all of your documents.
-
Organize your portfolio.
-
Assemble your portfolio.
-
Give your portfolio a final check.
