Information for Assignment:
You may use a computer or paper to complete this assignment. You can choose one of the following ideas to present yourself:
Please do one of the following:
At home, we may decorate our room with pictures and posters that represent our interests and likes. At school, we may put items in our locker that represent some of our activities and interests as well.
Your assignment for this lesson is to represent yourself using images and symbols to tell others about yourself.
You can include appropriate photos, drawings, or videos of:

your friends

your family
-
your pets
-
your favourite movie or TV stars/athletes/musicians, etc.
You may also want to include things like:

favourite sayings or expressions

artwork

likes/dislikes

poems, jokes, or other things you have written

You may use a computer or paper to complete this assignment. You can choose one of the following ideas to present yourself:

create a collage

which is a a piece of art that is made by attaching pieces of different materials (such as photos, pieces of paper, or fabric) onto paper or another flat surface

create a photo collage on the computer using photos, text, and pictures (e.g. clipart)
-
create a poster
–
you can use photos, drawings, and pictures (e.g. clipart)
-
make a video if you have access to a camera
-
do a PowerPoint presentation
*Remember to give your presentation a title.

Please do one of the following:
- You can complete your work directly into the assignment box on the next page by clicking the "Add submission" button under the orange box at the bottom of this page.
- If you completed your work in a separate Word document, save your document, and either send it to your teacher as an e-mail attachment or print it off and hand it in to your teacher so it can be graded. You can also attach your document within Moodle. To do this, click on the "Add submission" button below, and then click on "File submissions."
- You can also choose to complete a hand -written assignment on a piece of paper. If so, please hand in your assignment to your teacher so it can be graded.

Marking Guide:
This assignment is worth 10 marks as follows:
Thought and Understanding (7 possible marks) — 7 marks based on your choice of images/text, how creative your representation is, and how well the images tell the viewer something about your interests.
Presentation (3 possible marks) — 3 marks for the overall quality of the piece: how polished, organized, and appealing the appearance is to the viewer.
