Lesson 3 — Activity 3: Assignment

Information for Assignment:

After you watch the video, you will write a short paragraph using the information you learned in the previous assignment (and the information on the video) to give three different ways on how you can be an active listener.

Please do one of the following:

You can type your work directly into the assignment box on the next page by clicking the "Add submission" button under the orange box at the bottom of this page.

If you typed your work in a separate Word document, save your document, and either send it to your teacher as an e-mail attachment or print it off and hand it in to your teacher so it can be graded. You can also attach your document within Moodle. To do this, click on the "Add submission" button below, and then click on "File submissions."

You can also choose to complete a hand-written assignment on a piece of paper. If so, please hand in your assignment to your teacher so it can be graded.

Remember to use complete sentences, organize your ideas, and proofread your work.

Marking Guide:

This assignment is worth 5 marks as follows:

Thought and Understanding (3 possible marks) — 1 mark for each of the three ways given on how to be an active listener.

Clarity of Communication (2 possible marks) — 2 marks based on your organization of ideas, how clear your writing is, and the number of proofreading errors.
