In this unit, you will learn about the structure and growth of plants by raising your own plant and by observing plant growth within the community. You will learn to recognize and describe various forms of leaves, stems, roots,
and flowers. You will learn their functions in supporting the growth and reproduction of the plant. You will learn various ways of starting new plants as well as the plantsβ requirements for growth. Through hands-on activities,
you will learn that different plants have specific needs, and you will gain skills for their care.
