Importance of Plants Resource
A Grade 4 class is learning about the importance of plants. However, their small school has very limited resources to discover the importance of plants.

Your task is to construct a resource that the teacher can provide to her students so that they can learn the importance of plants.

You will construct a PowerPoint presentation that will answer the question, “What is the importance of plants?” for the students and the teacher.

Before beginning your PowerPoint, what information do you think is important to include? What does the audience (the students and the teacher) need to know about why plants are important? Use the following graphic organizer to organize the information
you want to include in the PowerPoint.
- Make sure to check the criteria and rubric below, this way you will be certain that you have included all of the necessary information.
- When you have completed the Assessment, submit it to your teacher using the "Add submission" button below.
Here is a list of criteria that your information resource should have:

A title slide must have a title for your PowerPoint and your name.

One slide must be used for each of the following with short descriptions of how plants are used for each:

food

shelter

air

medicine

other uses

One slide must describe how plants affect their natural environments.

One slide must describe how humans affect plants.

On each slide, you will provide at least two pictures to match your written description.

Your PowerPoint will be neat, organized, and colourful.
