Discovery Education wants to start using new videos that are made by students. They feel that it is a great way to capture the interest of students as well as a way to be sure that the videos can be understood by Grade 4 students, teachers, and the public.
You have been asked by Discovery Education to produce a video that displays the life cycle of a plant in a similar manner as the YouTube videos you have been watching.

Watch the ADLC Digital lesson above. Your task is to produce a video resource that can be used by Discovery Education. Your video will be a demonstration of your learning of this entire second topic. (How do plants grow and make other
plants?)

What information do you think is important to include in your video? What does the audience (students, teachers, and the public) need to know about the life cycle of a plant? Use the following graphic organizer to collect the information.

You will choose one plant to research for your video. You must choose a plant other than one that has been investigated in previous activities. (You cannot use celery, lima beans, etc.)
- Do some preliminary searches for images and information to ensure that you can find enough information to complete the video about your chosen plant.l Lesson on The Life of a Plant.
- Make sure that you check the criteria and rubric below before completing your assignment.
- When you have completed the Assessment, submit it to your teacher using the "Add submission" button below.
Your video should include the following criteria:

Choose one plant.

Identify its various parts (leaves, roots, stem, and flowers).

Describe the purpose of each part of the plant.

Identify what the plant needs to grow.

Identify how the seeds of the plant are distributed.

Describe how the plant can be propagated. (How can a new plant be started from the parent plant?)

Include music in your video.

Include at least eight images in your video.
- Include a title for your video with your name.

First, make slides with PowerPoint for the criteria listed for your video presentation.
After you have completed your slides, follow the Skill Builders to help you build your video using Windows MovieMaker or IMovie.
