Studying the Sky Resource
A grade 6 class has learned about how to study safely the movement of objects in the sky. The teacher would like a review resource for students to use individually to help them review for an end-of-the-year test. Click the titles below to read each section.
- Your task is to construct a resource that the teacher can provide to students so that they can review information about the universe.
- You will construct a review resource to answer the question, βWhat can I learn from studying the sky?β

- an explanation of how the 2 constellations are named and identified in the sky
- an explanation of the seasonal differences on Earth due to the tilt of the Earth as it orbits the Sun
- an explanation of the apparent movement of the stars and other planets because of the rotation and orbit of Earth
- an explanation of the apparent movement of the Sun because of the rotation of Earth
- an explanation of the changing appearance of the moon because of its orbit
