Traditional Art Form Research Assignment (T4)

In this research assignment you must choose a traditonal art form and investigate the five W's about it.  There is a list below of some of these art froms but this is by no means a complete list.  If you wish to research another traditional art form, please message me to get permission.

Your research assignment needs to answer the following questions:

• What is the art form and its history?

• Who did/does this art form (nation, clan, individuals etc)

• Why did/do they do it

• Where

1. did they learn it
2. do they display it
3. do they work on it

• When did/do they do it? (for ceremonies, everyday life etc)

• Why did/do they do it.

Your assignment may be presented in any way that you feel is best (eg written assignment, photo essay, powerpoint, speech, poster etc).

Your assignment will be out of 20 marks - 15 for your research and 5 for your presentation (eg grammar and writing, visual choices, creativity etc depending on the presenation type you choose).
