Conclusion

The focus of this lesson has been to create global awareness by revealing human rights abuses in the effort to inspire hope through the power of public action and international solidarity. Global connections will be explored in the next lesson.

Like slavery and apartheid, poverty is not natural. It is man-made and it can be overcome and eradicated by the actions of human beings.
