Plants and animals have a variety of similar and dissimilar structures. The structures have various functions such as getting rid of waste, obtaining food and adapting to the environment. Even though there is differences the majority of these structures involve the same elements oxygen, carbon and hydrogen.


Structure and function go together in nature and man-made design. Take a close look at the design of the human body and you will see that form follows function.
