Big Picture
Understanding chemical structure and bonding is the foundation for being able to anticipate the behavior of chemicals in chemical reactions. Once chemical reactions are understood and their products can be anticipated, chemical reactions can be used to produce products that are needed or wanted. The concentration of chemical solutions plays an important part in predicting the products of chemical reactions as the concentration of solutions participating in reactions affects the product yield of those reactions.

Module 1 Inquiry
Here are some questions you want to be thinking about as we work through this module.
- What are atoms made of ?
- What are different types of bonding ?
- How can you measure concentration ?
- What is the most common concentration calculation used for aqueous solutions ?
