Big Picture
The collision of objects occurs constantly at a microscopic and macroscopic level. These collision can be analyzed in terms of the orientation of the objects involved in the collision and by the quantities conserved in the collision. In this module we will be looking at a few different types of collisions and learning how to do a vector analysis of object involved in collisions.

Module 5 Inquiry
- What is a linear collision ?
- How does Newton's third law affect colliding objects ?
- How can we use mathematics to analyze collisions ?
- How do the physics of collisions affect the design of safety equipment ?
