English 30-1 Discussion Board (copy)
This is your discussion forum for Eng 30-1. In it, you are expected to participate in the discussions for every module. This are open thread discussions, meaning you can write any thought or opinions you have, related to the material. Please respond or reply to people on your thread, so we can keep the discussions flowing.
Comments need to contain a thought or an opinion and be a minimum of 3-5 sentences long. You are free to include documents and links that add to your opinion, and quote people in your discussions. Spelling and grammar are important so everyone can understand your points.
Good writing makes ideas clearer; bad riting make them, diffikult 2 understaind.
This is school, not reddit, so be respectful. Disagreements are fine, as long as they are about the story. You also can't disagree without providing your own opinion
"I don't agree with that" Not okay
"I don't agree with that; I think...." perfectly acceptable
"I don't agree with that, because..." perfectly acceptable
Respond to the opinion, not the person
"I don't think the author of the novel meant to say..." that works
"You're an idiot" that doesn't work
" I disagree with Chris, that's not what it meant to me. I think..." that works
"Everything Chris said was wrong" not okay
Swearing or bullying of any kind is obviously not acceptable.
You must comment 5 times on each board - it is the only way to get the checkmark in the progress report.
