Kipling's poem "White Man's Burden" created a great deal of controversy in the author's time and still does today. Consider the poem and the historical context as discussed in Unit 2.5 "White Man's Burden" as well as previous knowledge about the development of imperialism to help you address the following questions in your discussion response.
