An ecological footprint is the amount of land area required to meet the resource needs and waste needs of an individual. In other words, your ecological footprint is how much you personally need to live the way you do. What is your ecological footprint?
The Earth's resources are not shared equally. Canada is the second largest country in the world. It has plenty of land, water, and natural resources such as minerals, oil, and timber. Our population is relatively small, but we have a large ecological footprint.
As economic globalization grows, Canada's resources are becoming more and more valuable. Canadians must decide to what extent the want to develop those resources.
