On September 25, 2015, UN member nations adopted the
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals were formed after a review of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) period was completed (the MDGs were in effect from 2000 to 2015).
Considering the progress made to date, which international organization or international initiative do you believe has had the most impact in addressing a global issue?

In a forum post you must do the following.
- Identify and explain ONE global issue. Why is it a global issue? Who/what nations/what groups does it affect, and in what ways?
- Identify ONE international organization OR initiative, along with its goals and/or mandate to address the global issue.
- Explain (using specific details such as statistics, funding, population numbers, or other support) what actions and progress the international organization OR initiative has had/taken that shows the global issue being addressed.
- Highlight how the global issue is currently being addressed, and what are the goals for the organization OR initiative into the future.
- Provide links to any research or websites you have included in your post.
