My Personality, Strengths, & Interests - Introduction
Completion requirements
UNIT 3

Before you start applying for jobs, you need to have a sense of your strengths and interests. A job requires a time commitment, and you want to find a job that will help you move toward your goals.
In the beginning, you may think only about the money you will make. While money does play a factor, you should also think about finding a job that will help you develop skills that you can use in the future.
You also need to have a clear sense of who you are. You started this reflective work in Unit 1, and you will continue it here. Your personality should also be considered when planning for employment. For example, if you are extraverted (e.g. you love
working with people), you probably would not be fulfilled by a job where you work alone in front of a computer all day. Do you like to collaborate on a team? Do you prefer to lead? All these factors need to be considered when thinking about a job.
Use the inventories on the websites in the following pages to help you reflect on your personality, strengths, and interests . Use the Notes sections provided to record your observations while you consider the following resources.
