If someone asked you right now, “What do you want to do in the next ten years?” how would you answer them? Are you off to college, university, or possibly grad school? Do you see yourself traveling? Do you plan on purchasing your first house? Do you have a hobby that you want to be able to continue to explore? Or perhaps you can see yourself getting married and starting a family.
When choosing a career, it is important that you know your personal and financial goals. You also want to make sure you are choosing a career that fits your personality and interests. If you are a vibrant and social person, working alone on a computer all day is probably not the job for you. If you have aspirations to backpack around the world, then you are going to have to be willing to work all kinds of odd jobs, depending on where you are and what is available.
Finding a career that fulfills you on the job and allows for you to enjoy life outside the job will create a balance in your life and keep you happy and healthy.
