Personal Protective Equipment

Hazards exist in an agricultural environment in many different forms. It's important that your employer assess each work process and job task to determine if there is a need for the workers to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as a method of dealing with potential hazards.

As a worker in agriculture, you must follow the guidelines set out by your employer with regards to wearing PPE in carrying out various tasks on the farm. You must be trained by your employer in how and when to wear the equipment, however it is your responsibility to wear it correctly when required.
