The appeal of cultural tourism throughout the world has grown. Canada has been embracing this opportunity by increasing funding and exposure to our vast cultural treasures. This is defined as a journey of people to specific destinations and cultural attractions, including historic sites, artistic cultural events, and shows, to acquire new knowledge and experiences that stimulate growth and understanding of the traveller. By immersing the tourists in local cultural related activities such as rituals and festivities, there is an opportunity for a more authentic cultural exchange.
