Submission and Exam Policies for ELA 10-2

ADLC has important policies that you need to know about.  Please visit Student-Related Policies on the ADLC website for the most updated information regarding policies.

Exam Policy:

For successful completion of this course, you must satisfactorily meet the outcomes of the course. You can do this by:

1.     Completing all assignments to the best of your ability.  Incomplete assignments will be returned unmarked.

2.     Achieving a satisfactory mark on the final exam.  Please note exam policy:

If your final exam mark is below 40% or more than 25% lower than your course average before the final exam, your teacher has the discretion to use your final exam mark as your final course mark.

3.    Achieving a final course mark of 50% or higher.

Non-Starter Policy:  A student must submit a gradable assignment within a set number of days after having registered in the course. Failure to submit a gradable assignment within this time frame will result in the student being automatically withdrawn from the course. .

Stall Policy:  When an assignment is submitted, a clock begins, and the student will be automatically withdrawn from the course if another gradable submission is not submitted within this set time frame. Students will receive notifications to remind them of this policy.

Please view this Policy Video for a simple visual explanation for how both the Non-starter and Stall policies work Please note that time frames are subject to change so you need to visit the ADCL policy link above to obtain the most up to date information.
