Using Turnitin and Citing Sources Properly

Turnitin Program
All assignments use the Turnitin program in order to assist you with tools that will help you to recognize if you may have accidentally committed plagiarism within you work. When the Turnitin screen pops up, you must choose the "accept" option for your own protection, and in order for me to mark your work. This step saves time for everyone, and acceptance of Turnitin is not optional in this course.

Proper Source Citation to Avoid Plagiarism
Whenever you make reference to or quote another person's ideas or work, you must give credit to the owner. You can find all the information you need to help you do this online, and an informative website link is provided below. 

Citing a Source from an Assigned Course Text:
If you are quoting from an assigned text from the course, you must always give the page number of the text after the quote in brackets.  Example: (p. 31) or (pp. 31-34)

Remember that if you create your citation as you are viewing the video, you can simply pause the video anytime you need to add to the citation you are creating.
