Different Formats You May Use for Your Work
Please note that many assignments offer worksheets that have been provided in three different formats: Google Docs, Microsoft Word, and PDF. You do not have to submit the same assignment in each formatβchoose the one format that works best
for you! The simplest way to complete work is probably by using the Word format if you have access to that program, as the form adjusts for work space as necessary and can simply be submitted "as is" when completed. Google Docs also allow adjustable
workspace, but are trickier to submit, and cannot be simply shared, as that sends them via email, and emailed work is not accepted. This course requires that you submit Google Docs as PDF documents by following these steps: Select File > Download as PDF > wait a few seconds for the PDF to generate > Save As (your name and assignment #) > Save to your ELA folder on your computer > submit to applicable submission page for marking. This is a good way to submit, as a PDF may never be accidentally changed by yourself or your teacher after it is submitted.
There are smart phone apps that allow you to easily scan any type of document for Moodle upload, and "Adobe Scan" is a fee app and works the best with Moodle.
When asked to accept "turnitin" for you work, it is mandatory that you will click "accept" as this program is in place to make you aware if there is any accidental plagiarism within your work and is a requirement for assignments in this course.
If you need help with a submission, please contact your teacher for assistance.
