Lesson 2: Communication

Why is this Important?

A successful business can communicate in all directions depending on the nature of the information.

Open and positive communication allows the business to run smoothly and increases its chance of success. Various channels of communication exist within an organization to ensure clarity. Current technology facilitates communication.

Staff members must communicate needs and make suggestions or recommendations to supervisors in clear and understandable ways. Communication is a very important skill for everyone, particularly in a business involving many people including supervisors, fellow workers, and customers.

That staff members communicate with their supervisors or managers is important. In a large organization, all information that enters or leaves a department should go through the supervisor or manager because that person is responsible for the department.
